About

I specialize in the fields of political sociology and communication. I am also a computational methodologist, innovating on techniques in natural language processing and the repurposing of digital trace data for social science research.

I am particularly interested in advancing the use of use social media, news, and communications data to study populations that have traditionally been 'hard-to-reach' in the empirical social sciences. I am also interested in the use of new computational techniques for the study of change in political belief systems.
